Gazit: Resolving Monetary Disputes

When financial disputes need to be resolved between individuals or businesses in Israel, many are hesitant to utilize existing religious courts (Batei Din). In upholding halacha, which requires Jews to settle disputes in Beit Din, rather than secular courts, the Gazit religious courts were established to offer a viable option for legal decisions and mediation.

Gazit strives to raise the standing of Jewish jurisprudence, and to advance the principles of ethics and justice embodied in halacha in general Israeli society.

The Batei Din of Gazit operate in a professional and expeditious manner, without unnecessary bureaucracy. Gazit has established Batei Din throughout Israel whose judges are unbiased and well-educated in both halacha and secular law. Excellent academic and research personnel are at the disposal of the court to support the judges with relevant and contemporary information in economics, medicine, computers and science. Our well-qualified judges are monitored by a national system which oversees all the Gazit Batei Din, ensuring that they are properly supervised.

Decisions of the Gazit Batei Din are respected in both halachic and secular judicial arenas in Israel.
